Confidence and high self-esteem help you navigate life more easily. They will also have a strong resilience to judgment, criticism and rejection and know that they can’t please everyone all of the time. They focus on what they can do rather than what they can’t.
 
Many people suffer from lack of self-esteem to varying degrees and low self-esteem can gradually manifest in any one of us at any time of our lives.
 
If you lack either confidence or motivation the likely cause is a degree of underlying stress, anxiety or depression. When we lack confidence in our abilities we often have negative views of the future or are introspective about the past.
